Description: The yellow day was celebrated on 8th Feb in the pre-primary section of St. Joseph College, Sitapur Road, Lucknow.Every colour has its own importance. A colour can influence our emotions, actions and how we respond to various things, people and ideas. Yellow colour stimulates the mental process, activates the memory and helps encourage communication keeping in mind the importance of the colour, a day was named after it. Children came to school dressed in yellow attires. There was an atmosphere of exuberance all around. The colour was introduced in the assembly by showing different objects and things from the environment like flower, balloon, kite, frock etc. A very nice rhyme “Y-E-L-L-O-W spells YELLOW” was recited by the teachers along with the students. Focusing on the theme teachers planned art and collage activities. Their artworks were displayed on the soft boards. The children enjoyed the day thoroughly and were exceedingly happy. The children enjoyed this activity and were very happy when they received sunflowers to take home.
